Assistant Site Manager/Sub Agent - Civil Engineering Works .

We are working on behalf of a leading Civil Engineering Principal Contractor, currently seeking two highly motivated and experienced Sub Agents/Assistant Site Managers to join their growing team. These are fantastic opportunities for individuals with a strong background in civil engineering, who are looking to develop their careers within a reputable, high-profile contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations on civil engineering projects.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate with design teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project progression.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure work is carried out to the highest standards and in line with contract requirements.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Provide regular reports on site progress, costs, and any potential issues that may arise.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the project plan, including schedules, budgets, and resource management.
  • Support the management of project risks and help implement effective mitigation strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Assistant Site Manager within the civil engineering sector.
  • A solid understanding of civil engineering projects, including roadworks, drainage, earthworks, and infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and First Aid at Work certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience with a Principal Contractor.
  • Experience in managing large, complex civil engineering projects.
