We are currently hiring highly motivated and reliable Production and Packing Operatives on behalf of our client, a leading seafood business based in Alness, Ross-shire, Highland.

Duties to include -

• Processing & Packing
• Labelling, and preparing products for shipping
• Operate production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficient and effective operations
• Check products for quality and consistency, and report any defects or issues
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Adhere to all health & safety, and fire regulations and company policies at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Keeping all areas of the factory clean and tidy
• Prepare for any requirements for the following day
• Wearing, company suppled, PPE, in accordance with health and safety and food safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues and supervisors
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Due to machinery, all applicants must be over 18 years of age.

All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is supplied to ensure your safety while on the job.

£12.00p/h

Overtime - 1.5 x rate available on weekdays and double time on weekends!

Full time position - 37.5+ hours per week.

Dayshifts - normally 8am -4pm

Shift Pattern - Monday - Friday, with overtime available on a Saturday and Sunday
