We are thrilled to be working alongside a well-respected, leading construction business in Inverness to recruit a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor for a high-profile commercial development. As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for managing all financial and contractual aspects of this major development. You’ll work closely with a talented team, delivering key milestones on time and within budget, and ensuring a seamless flow of information across the project. Your expertise in cost management, contract negotiation, and value engineering will be central to the success of this exciting venture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Taking charge of cost management throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to final account settlement.
• Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports to ensure the project stays on track.
• Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best value and terms.
• Managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and mitigating financial risk.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective project delivery.
• Producing regular progress reports for senior management and clients.

What We’re Looking For:

• Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, particularly in large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong expertise in cost control, contract management, and procurement processes.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you’ll be the go-to person for financial project updates.
• A relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proficiency with relevant software such as MS Excel, Estimating Tools, and construction management systems.
